  • Keep our facilities clean and operational
  • Update software and technology needs
  • Ensure our buildings are in good repair and regularly maintained
  • Maintain protected, beautiful grounds for students to use and enjoy
  • Maintain and upgrade security systems
  • Manage emergency repairs to facilities

Aztec Municipal School District continuously promotes learning and leadership at all grade levels. Many of our high school student athletes go on to compete at the college level. Our high school and middle school have award-winning student councils. Our elementary schools offer special programs such as after-school tutoring. In 2023, Lydia Rippey Elementary School earned the prestigious Blue Ribbon School Award, one of only three such honored schools in New Mexico and 352 schools nationwide. The school is part of the districtwide pathways program that encourages students toward college or a career. For high-schoolers, this innovative program includes an ambitious paid internship program that involves dozens of local businesses or government entities.
